The English Debate Competition was held on Saturday, 17th August 2024, with the thought-provoking topic, "Are influencers a positive influence on society?" The debate saw enthusiastic participation from both the Blue House, which represented the Proposition or Affirmative Team, while the Red House which represented the Opposition or Negative Team.

After a rigorous exchange of ideas and arguments, Sanchit Phadke from 10th A was declared the Best Speaker from the Red House, while Vedant Bhakare from 9th C earned the title of Best Speaker from the Blue House. Ultimately, the Red House emerged victorious in the competition.

The debate was judged by external judge Nazneen Shaikh and internal judge Mona Pereira. The entire event was coordinated under the supervision of Mr. Zaheer Abbas B Somji, the in-charge teacher.

This competition provided a platform for students to showcase their oratory skills and their ability to engage critically with contemporary societal issues.
