No Tobacco Day Awareness Programme

27th June, 2026 | Secondary Section

As part of the observance of No Tobacco Day, St. Blaise High School organized an awareness programme on 27th June, 2026 to educate students about the harmful effects of tobacco and drug abuse. The programme aimed to inspire students to make healthy choices and promote a tobacco-free and drug-free lifestyle.

The day began with a Special Assembly, during which an inspiring message was shared on the dangers of tobacco and drug abuse. Students were made aware of the serious physical, mental, and social consequences of addiction. A student from Class 7 Mst.Jaden Fernandes added a special touch to the assembly by playing the keyboard and singing a meaningful song that beautifully conveyed the importance of leading a healthy, addiction-free life.

A variety of creative and educational activities were conducted for students of Grades 5 to 10. Grade 5 students participated in Slogan Writing, while Grade 6 showcased their creativity through Drawing on the theme of drugs. Grade 7 students prepared a beautiful Message Tree, where they wrote meaningful anti-tobacco messages on paper leaves and placed them on the tree, symbolizing hope, awareness, and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Grade 8 students expressed their ideas through Poster Making, while students of Grades 9 and 10 participated in Essay Writing on the importance of living a tobacco-free and drug-free life.

The students participated enthusiastically in all the activities, spreading awareness through their creativity and thoughtful messages. The programme was a great success in reinforcing the importance of saying "No to 7Tobacco" and encouraging everyone to lead a healthy, responsible, and addiction-free life.
